I have developed this blog to highlight the importance of appropriate data collection and processing.

The blog will examine why we collect data, the importance of appropriate data collection, the types of data that can be collected as well as our legal responsibilities, especially in light of the new General Data Protection Regulations (2016) (also know in the UK as The Data Protection Bill). This is the draft name for the legislation once the UK leaves the European Union (Brexit) on the 29th March 2019. The regulations will come into force in the UK prior to Brexit on the 25th May 2018.
