How the information is used:
The information we collect is used to produce;
- CPD records and certificates for course participants,
- To obtain course fees from participants,
- To produce registers for courses.
The information can also be used to;
- Contact course participants if there are any issues re: payment, cancellation of courses or to inform individuals of upcoming courses that may be of interest to them (Participants can opt in/out of these notifications).
The information collected can also be used as;
- A record of CPD by participants (enabling them to print of their own CPD certificates).
Information gathered from course evaluations are used;
- To identify gaps in delivery and to gauge the effectiveness of the course/presenter.
In the case of SVQ pre and post registrant students, the information can be used to;
- Demonstrate their competency (fitness to practise) / progress during training/ courses.
- To register students with an awarding body and alert the awarding body of student completions/ withdrawal.
- It can also be used to advise the GDC on the number of students in training or those who have completed training and require to register.
The information we gather may also be used to report on Pre and post student progress, disciplinary reports etc.
Furthermore, the information can be used by NHS Education for Scotland (NES) for;
RECAP
The care information we collect is used for purposes such as:
- Statistical reporting so they can demonstrate to awarding bodies, the Scottish Government etc the number and types of courses they deliver/offer and to which registrants group and the effectiveness of the courses/ programme.
- Planning courses,
- Educational programmes,
- As a means of identifying 'gaps' in education delivery.
RECAP
The care information we collect is used for purposes such as:
- Statistical analysis,
- Development of courses, educational programmes,
- Management of students/ course participants/ staff,
- Health promotion /improvement,
- Support improvement in the delivery of patient care,
- Quality improvement/ audits.
Collections :
We use some of the information we collect to produce;- Training management data: including contact details for trainees, educational history, placements and records of progress.
- Educational data: contact details, records of attainment, records of attendance.
- Employee data: contact details, employment and educational history, leave records, management information.
- Contact details, for example contractors and suppliers, stakeholders, volunteers, organisational leads or contacts for specific activities.
- Equality and diversity data (where provided by individuals): race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability.
